the Irrational in Politics

The first booklets of our "Radical Reprints" series. This collection of essays by Maurice Brinton includes his classic "the Irrational in Politics, in which he builds off the theories of Wilhelm Reich to explain the persistently irrational behaviors of political groups. Also included is the companion text, "the Russian Experience," in which Brinton explains how the failure of the Russian of the Russian revolution to overcome traditional social mores contributed to the development of the authoritarian state that followed.
